How do we prime the fuel line on a 96 Yukon after a fuel filter change?

The book shows a prime wire and I do not see it.If I find it do I just hook it to the battery + side to run the pump and prime it ?How do we prime the fuel line on a 96 Yukon after a fuel filter change?After you install the new filter, you simply just start the vehicle. No priming of the line is required! When you first turn the key on, the pump will run for a few seconds. The air in the fuel line will work it self out when it hits the pressure regulator.



I have never used, seen, or even heard of a priming wire for the fuel pump; what book did you find this in?



Since it runs on starting fluid, you do have a loss of fuel, but isn't because you replaced the fuel filter, you have another issue elswhere. Are you certain that the fuel pump is running?
